Medicare Supplement Plan B, also known as Medigap Plan B, offers the same coverage as Plan A with the addition of paying your Part A hospital deductible. This deductible is over $1,400, and it tends to go up every year. Having Medigap Plan B means you never have to worry about paying that rising deductible cost.
This deductible is not an annual fee, it is something that occurs any time you have a hospital stay more than 60 days apart. Medicare Plan B will cover it every time.
Medigap Plan B does not cover foreign travel or Part B excess charges, so you can also consider a plan that covers the Part A deductible and those other things, such as Plan F or G.
There are many insurance companies that offer Medicare Supplement policies in each state. Rates can vary greatly by location, and each company sets its own prices. Things such as age, gender, and tobacco use also affect the rate. Insurance companies also have their own loss ratios from their clients which may make one company’s rates higher or lower than another’s.
Benefits of Medicare Plan B are standardized, so you will get the same benefits from whichever company you purchase from. We can help you find one with low rates and a history of low rate increases.
Sometimes people get Medicare Plan B confused with Medicare Part B, or they think they are the same thing. This is not the case. Medicare Supplement Plan B is one of the Supplement plans that you can choose from to help fill in the gaps in coverage that Medicare leaves. Medicare Part B is your outpatient medical coverage from Original Medicare.

This means that any and all Medicare Supplement plans must accept you regardless of previous health status.
Medicare Supplement Plan benefits are standardized, the only difference is PRICE!
Insurance companies offer the same plan letters (A,B,C,D,F,G,K,L,M, or N) and the benefits with each company compare apples-to-apples…
